Nymphicula xanthobathra Meyrick, [1894]; PED 3

  • Taxonomy

The female holotype of Anydraula xanthobathra Meyrick, 1894a: 474-475 is from Kalimantan (Pulau Laut).

  • Description

Wing length: 5.5mm. This sp. is almost identical in wing patterning to N. tripunctata but anal hair pencils are absent. In N. tripunctata these are evenly fulvous but in N. mesorphna they are blackish apically. Yoshiyasu, (1987: 174-176, figs. 27, 28) gives a full re-description and illustrates the male genitalia. The juxta of N. xanthobathra and N. mesorphna are bifurcate at the apex, in N. tripunctata it is undivided at its apex. Both N. xanthobathra and N. mesorphna hind coxae lack the greyish hair tuft found in N. tripunctata.
