Taxonomy
The holotype of Scoparia syndyas Meyrick, 1938: 84. TL Java (Mt Overboek). Comb. n. to Microchilo Okano, 1962 (Nuss 1998: 518).

ssp. faircloughi (Gaskin-Shaffer MS name), TL Brunei [Illustrated];

Description
Wing length: 4mm. A small pale grey brown sp. FW brown speckled with an indistinct, pale, curved submarginal fasciae. A few similar morphotypes seen from Borneo. These may be vars. of M. syndyas. See Microchilo spp. 2, 3 & 4.
