Taxonomy

N. Thailand, Doi Phukha NP. The holotype of Striglina propatula Whalley, 1974a from India (Meghalaya, Jaintia Hills) is in the NHM (Mi7290). Whalley (1974a:122; 1976:56, pl. 20, fig. 188).

Description

27-29mm. An orange-brown species with the thyridid reticulation picked out in darker brown. There is a diagonal line crossing both wings which runs from the FW costa close to the apex to the inner margin and continues across the HW to the inner margin. An indistinct line curves across the HW. This is very similar to S. scitaria. The female was unknown to Whalley but Konvicka et al. (1998) give a description.

Distribution & Habitat

Meghalaya, Nepal, Thailand, N. Vietnam. Lowland to upper montane forest; <1685m.
