Description

35mm. A yellow-brown species with a small amount of variation in the distinctness of the strigulate markings. As well as the nominate ssp. from Australia & New Guinea, there are possibly four other undescribed sspp. from respectively the Moluccas (Amboina, Sula Manguli), Seram, New Britain and the Solomon Is. This species superficially resembles Striglina rubicunda Whalley 1976 but in the latter the diagonal (often dotted) line on the FW curves inwards as it approaches the costa. A faint circular orbicular mark is visible in the illustrated ?ssp. from Seram.

Distribution & Habitat
