  • Taxonomy


    Calomotropha sp. 4 nr. C. obliterans (Walker, 1863). Specimens in the HSB and Schulze Colls.

  • Description


    Wing length: 10mm. There is little fasciation on the brownish or golden straw coloured FW apart from a faint sigmoid median line, a faint curving post median line and a narrow darker termenal area and a dark punctum in the orbicular area. There is an indistinct pale spot on the FW apex. The paler HW is without markings. The long fringes are creamy white. The palpi are long, porrect and furry. Schulze (2000) taxon #868. See Calamotropha obliterans (Walker, 1863) and Calamotropha spp. 1, 2 & 3 which may be conspecific.
