Taxonomy
Bacotoma sp. 4. An unnamed sp. nr. B. ptochura Meyrick, 1894; from Sabah, PHS in the Schulze Coll. A badly damaged specimen M2108 in the Kitching Coll, from Kuala Belalong in Brunei (Temburong) is almost cerainly the same. Generic placement uncertain.

Description
Wing Length: 11mm. This sp. is has more shades of brown with the yellow than representatives of the ‘Bacotoma ptochura group’. It has a fawn costa with three dark brown costal spots marking the start of incomplete subbasal, antemedian and post median lines. The broad dark brown wing margins are similar to B. ptochura Meyrick. The small spot seen near the base of the HW subcosta in Bacatoma spp. 1, 2, & 3 is absent. The abdomen is orange paler at the base and has paired black marks near its tip similar to many spp. in the Old World Syngamia group. Schulze (2000) Taxa #351 & #602.
