    Calomotropha sp. 3 nr. C. obliterans (Walker, 1863). Specimens in the Schulze Coll.

  • Description


    Wing length: 9.5mm. This is the best marked of the morphotypes related to C. obliterans (Walker, 1863). On the FW note the dark punctum in the orbicular area the sigmoid median line and the curving sub marginal line There is no pale spot on the FW apex.The paler HW is without markings but is darker towards the costa and apex. The fringes are fawn. The palpi are long, porrect and furry. Schulze (2000) taxon #869See Calamotropha obliterans (Walker, 1863) and Calamotropha spp. 1, 2 & 4 which may be conspecific.
