Taxonomy
Cirrhochrista sp. 2. Two specimens in the Schulze Coll., from Sabah; one [Leg. Hauser] Crocker Range N.P. and another from DVFC. At least two other specimens seen from W. Malaysia (GTE), in the HSB and NHM Colls.

Description
Wing length: 14-15mm. A large and handsome well marked sp. is mainly shining white with orange-brown markings. It lacks the transverse fasciae on the FW seen in most members of the C. brizolalis group. Note the v-shaped, brown edged, fulvous triangles at the FW costa indicating the start of the basal, median and sub-apical fasciae. The sub termenal border of both wings is serrate with orange patches. The costa, apex and termenal margins are narrowly orange. The abdomen is white laterally, distinctively patterned dorsally in dark brown with orange centrally. Compare with Cirrhochrista brizoalis Walker where the fulvous orange of the end of the sub-termenal band wraps around the tornus onto the dorsal edge of the FW. The long palpi are orange red with black tips Schulze (2000) taxa #041 & #042.
