  The female holotype of Eromene pygmaea Hering, 1903 (: 81, pl. 1, fig. 33) from Sumatra is in Warsaw.
  As Transeromene ‘Schouten in prep 1992’. in the NHM Coll.
  ssp. hollowayi ‘Schouten in prep 1992’?*. TL Mulu (distribution,W. Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei) MS ssp. n;
  ssp. [Ommatopterx] micralis (Hampson, 1919: 535) TL Philippines. MS stat. n. as a ssp.;
  ssp Metaeuchromius fulvusalis Chen & Song 2002 is from S. China & Hong Kong. MS stat. n. as a ssp.
  ssp. [Ommatopterx] brunnealis (Hampson, 1919: 535) from the Philippines (Luzon);
  ssp. 1 unnamed (Thailand);
  ssp. 2 unnamed (Sulawesi).
  
  This sp. was excluded from Eromene Hübner [1826]: 366 [= Euchromius Guenée 1854: 324] and left unplaced by Schouten (1992: 197).
  
  *In the NHM are several Eromene, Euchromius and Transeromene spp. labeled as holotypes [probably by Shaffer] but we cannot find any publication ref. associated with them nor can we locate the paper ‘Schouten in prep.’ referred to in Schouten 1992: 197. Until this is clarified we are treating those names as ‘Schouten in prep 1992’. MS names.

  Description

  
  

  Wing length: 4mm. A small pale brown/fulvous species with few FW markings except for several black spots near the tornus which are typical of the genus. The HW is very pale grey brown. Reminiscent of some Peniculimius spp.
