Taxonomy
The holotype of Botys polusalis Walker, 1859: 703 is in the UM Oxford. As Hydrorybina in Shaffer et al., 1996.

Description
Wing length : 10mm. The rusty red colour of the wing bases fades to purple on the wing margins. The patterning is simple with narrow curving, brown submedian and post-median lines on the FW and a single straight narrow brown submarginal line on the HW which finishes about halfway across the wing where the basal area is pale.

Distribution & Habitat
Sri Lanka, India (S., Sikkim, Assam), Nepal, Burma, Laos, W. Malaysia, Sarawak, Indonesia (Sulawesi Sumbawa, Seram), East Timor, PNG (Fergusson Is.), Australia (Q). Lowland.
