  • Taxonomy


    The type locality of Botys poesalis Walker, 1859: 717 is Sarawak. The location of the holotype is uncertain (NHM or UM Oxford).

  • Description


    Wing length: 10mm. An ochreous and orange sp. with distinctive silvery scale patches especially on wing margins. Pagyda lustralis Snellen, 1890: 615 is similar but has an overall silvery sheen as well as a silvery sub marginal area. See Pagyda sp. 1 and Daulia afralis Walker 1859. The males have the elongated abdomen typical of Pagyda spp.
