Taxonomy
The holotype of Crambus obliterans Walker, 1863: 169 is from ‘Borneo’.

Description
Wing length: 10mm. There is little fasciation on the brownish or straw coloured FW apart from a faint sigmoid median line, a thin dark curving post median line and a narrow darker termenal area. The paler HW is without markings. The fringes are white. The palpi are long, porrect and furry. See Calamotropha spp. 1, 2, 3 & 4 which may be variants of this sp. Calamotropha sybilla Bleszynski, 1966: 462. TL (Riau Archipelago, Doerian.) is very similar.
