Taxonomy
The holotype of Eoophyla nigripilosa Yoshiyasu, 1978: 170, figs. 24, 25 is from Thailand (Chiang Mai, Nakhorn Nayok, Chanthaburi). Included in the Eoophyla ceratucha-group by Jaenicke & Mey (2011: 43).

Description
Wing length: 10-12mm. Typical Eoophyla patterning in brown white and yellow. A full description and figures of genitalia are given in Yoshiyasu (1978). Note the hind coxae with a thick tuft of fulvous scales. A sp. close to E. nigripilosa was amongst the six commonest spp. encountered near the Kinabalu N.P. by Fiedler & Schulze (2004). First recorded from China by Li et al. (2003).
