Description
Wing length: 7mm. A golden yellow and brown sp. with typical Cnaphalocrocis transverse submedian and postmedian lines. Note the specialised tuft of scent scales in the FW cell. The FW costa has a series of dark brown marks like Cnaphalocrocis poeyalis and C. trebiusalis Compared with C. poeyalis this sp. has much wider dark marginal bands on FW & HW. In the males of Cnaphalocrocis poeyalis the large dark patch of scent scales obscures much of the FW subcosta.
