Hendecasis hampsoni South, [1901]; PED 6

  • Taxonomy

The holotype of Trichophysetis hampsoni South, 1901: 420, pl. 14, fig. 28. is from China (Ichang [Yichang]).

    Comb. n. to Hendecasis (Shibuya, 1928: 23).

The generic concepts represented by Trichophysetis (Meyrick 1884: 287) and Hendecasis Hampson, (1896: 140) are uncertain. Roger Kendrick was uncertain as to whether the sp. should be regarded as one (hampsoni), or a complex (hampsoni group). Here we treat it as part of a wider H. hampsoni group.
