  • Taxonomy


    The holotype of Cirrhochrista figuratalis Walker, [1866] 1865: 1369 from Sulawesi (Makian) is in UM Oxford. Long considered as syn. with C. brizoalis Walker 1859e: 976 but re-erected as a good sp. by Mike Shaffer, 1968 (LepIndex).

  • Description


    Wing length: 8mm. Another shining white sp. with fulvous and brown markings mainly on the FW. One forms a distinctive brown circular mark near the tornus. See C. annulifera Hampson, 1919: 323 which is very similar but has a larger circular mark. Part of the C. brizolalis group.

    Thailand, W. Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei, Sulawesi, China (Yunnan). Lowland.
