Taxonomy
The holotype of Conogethes diminutiva Warren, 1896c: 168 from India (Khasis) is in the NHM. Comb. rev. to Conogethes from Dichocrocis (Shaffer et al., 1996).

Description
Wing length: 6.5mm. Bright yellow and black spotted, this is one of the smallest Conogethes spp. The three spots on the HW inner angle may be small and distinct or larger and suffused. Var fulvida Warren 1896c: 168, TL India (Khasis), has purplish suffusions around the wing veins especially on the underside basal half of the FW.
Some specimens from Australia have their spots conjoined to form lines on the subcosta of the FW and nr. the HW tornus. -

India (Meghalaya), Sabah, Indonesia (Sulawesi), Australia (Q). Primary & secondary forest; <1200m.
