  • Taxonomy


    The holotype of Pareromene clytia (Bleszynski, 1966: 459) from Sumatra (Fort du Kock), is in the RMNH Leiden.

  • Description


    Wing length : 5mm. As in all Glaucocharis spp. the FW is slightly bifalcate. It is pale and darker orange with a speckling of darker scales and a few blue grey lines. There is a black marginal line and a black crescentic discal spot. The HW is white but the veins are slightly suffused with orange near the apex. The labial palps are patterned laterally with yellow, brown and grey. Smaller and more yellowish than G. fuscobasela (Snellen, 1900). Illustration of the same specimen as RTS.

    Thailand, W. Malaysia, Sumatra, Sabah, Sulawesi. Lower montane; 1000-1680m.
