Taxonomy
The holotype of Glyphodes botydalis Snellen, [1880] 1880-1892: 69 from Sumatra (Sungei Aboc) is in the RMNH Leiden.
syn. Pagyda aurantialis Hampson, 1893: 163, pl. 173, fig. 17. TL Sri Lanka (Shaffer et al., 1996). -
Description
Wing length: 9mm. A white and pale orange marked sp. In some examples the pale areas may be slightly purple tinged. Note the broad submedian facia edged by a broken or jagged submarginal line on the FW. In some specimens this presents a coronate appearance. On the HW the antemedian line runs to the tornus and the submarginal line ends well before the tornus. See Wang & Speidel (2000: 291 & fig.). In some specimens the patchy post median fascia of the FW may be less distinct. The males have the elongated abdomen typical of Pagyda spp.

Distribution & Habitat
Sri Lanka, India (Sikkim), Singapore, Sabah, Indonesia (Sumatra), Australia. Taiwan. Lowland to lower montane forest; <1500m.
