Dolichosticha subauralis Warren, 1896: 175-176 TL Khasias [Meghalaya], was once thought syn. with C. bilinealis (Hampson, 1891), but now considered a good sp. -
Description
Wing length: 7mm. A golden-fulvous sp. with chestnut brown and darker brown markings. Two brown sub-median and post-median lines traverse all wings. Note how the post-median line is displaced proximally to the rear of the FW (into the median position) like C. patnalis but unlike Cnaphalocrocis medinalis and C. trebiusalis. Compared with C. patnalis, the dark submarginal shading is less distinct and mainly confined to the apices.
